Good news! for all Dolly Parton’s fans out there…
The iconic country music legend, Dolly Parton, is all set to premiere her movie musical “Christmas on the Square” on Netflix this month after her most praised three TV movies –“Coat of Many Colors” (2015), “Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love” (2016) and “Heartstrings” (2019).
Featuring 14 new songs with music and lyrics by Dolly herself, the film was directed and choreographed by none other than Debbie Allen, Golden Globe, and three-time Emmy winner including some famous names like Christine Baranski, Jenifer Lewis, and Treat Williams as co-stars.
The film, shot in metro Atlanta, portraits the life of a wealthy woman named Regina Fuller, played by Dolly Parton herself. At the beginning of the film, Fuller being a misanthropic woman returns to her small hometown after her father’s death with a plan of selling the land to a mall developer.
But, after connecting with the townspeople and with an old love, she has gone through emotional and spiritual reawakening.
Thus the movie proclaims endless holiday mirth, heart, and even a few tears when you watch it on Netflix streaming on Nov. 22.
