Srinagar. The death toll from the virus rose to 43 with the death of two people, including a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, due to epidemic corona virus infection in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A senior CRPF officer has confirmed the death of a CRPF jawan from corona infection and the funeral will be done in Kashmir as per the Home Ministry guidelines. Apart from this, another 35 year old resident of Srinagar has also died due to corona infection.
This is the first case of death of a CRPF jawan from Corona infection in Kashmir and the fourth case in the country. With these two deaths, seven people have died due to corona infection during the last 48 hours and 29 people have died in 20 days in the state. While the number of corona infections has crossed 4000. Official sources said that the 40-year-old CRPF jawan, resident of Uttar Pradesh, was given a few days ago due to several other problems with respiratory problems. K.
