The theme of Hunar Haat will be ‘Local to Global’
new Delhi. Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Saturday that ‘Hunar Haat’ will reopen from September 25. Naqvi said that due to global epidemic, Hunar Haat has been closed for the last five months and will be reopened from September 25. He said that this time the theme of Hunar Haat will be ‘Local to Global’ which was called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On May 13, PM Modi in his address to the nation announced a special ‘Self-reliant India campaign’ emphasizing the country’s economy. He also gave mantras like ‘Local, Global and Vocal’ to increase sales of indigenous goods and local products.
The Prime Minister said in his address that today every countryman has to become a ‘Vocal’ for his ‘Local’. He said that local things have supported us in this difficult time. Not only this, he also appealed people to not only buy local products but also promote them. In this context, PM Modi had also mentioned the strong increase in demand for Khadi products from his earlier call. Meanwhile, the demand for Khadi masks has increased during the Corona crisis.
So far, orders for making more than eight lakh masks have been received, while six lakh masks have been supplied nationwide during lockdown and 7.5 lakh masks have been distributed to the district administration. Orders from Rashtrapati Bhavan, Prime Minister’s Office, Central Ministries, Government of Jammu and Kashmir and general public are also included for the supply of masks. According to the Khadi Village Industries Commission, masks will be exported to many countries in Dubai, Mauritius, America, Europe. Khadi masks will be in many colors.
