Mumbai. In view of the spread of Corona virus spreading rapidly in the country, BMC has made some changes in the rules of containerization. If a person is corona positive in a building, then the entire building will not be sealed nor the entire building will be kept in the containment zone. Only the floor where the corona infected patient will be sealed.
However, till now, the BMC administration used to seal the entire building by declaring it as a containment zone if a corona infected patient was found in the housing society premises. Then any person living on campus, neither outside the campus nor outside people were allowed to enter the housing society.
Those who violate applicable law in the Containment Zone face legal action under the Epidemic Act. Even a case under Section 188 of the IPC can be registered against the housing society management. If the person poses a threat to human life, health or safety, there is a provision of one month in jail or a fine of up to Rs 200 for violating this section.
